Mask Up was originally purchased for $80,000 at the 2019 Inglis Classic Sale, we secured the horse for just $22,000 on an online auction. His original owners are Hong Kong based and trade their horses, Mask Up is not a trade prospect so he is being sold to continue his racing career.
Mask Up has raced 8 times for wins at Donald (VIC), and Morphetville (SA), and placings at Flemington, and Warnambool (VIC).
He won his maiden at Donald, October 2021 over 1200m in fast time by 2.75L defeating Come Along Jeffrey {Super One} which has gone on to win 4 races and nearly $100,000 in prizemoney. Mask Up was spelled following his maiden win.

After a seven month spell, Mask Up returned to the races at Morphetville, South Australia in May 2022, where he won again in impressive fashion. On this day he beat Chasin' Chex {NZ} which has won three races since, has also since placed at Flemington, and earned $170,000 in prizemoney.

At his next start, Mask Up ran a teriffic 3rd down the Flemington straight over 1100m. On this day he was beaten just 1.45L by Zac De Boss {Zacinto (GB)} which subsequently won again at Flemington and has earned over $250,000 in prizemoney. Second in the race was Red Hot Nicc {Nicconi} which has also since won at Flemington. These are fantastic form references and a key piece of the puzzle when sourcing tried horses.

Mask Up next ran 4th again at Flemington, June 4 and was spelled later that month after an unplaced run at Sandown.
Mask Up since returned this preparation for three starts including a slashing 3rd at Warnambool on January 8, and a 6th at Flemington, January 20 before being offered for sale.

Mask Up is exactly the type of horse we love to buy, lightly raced, already proven he is up to city class, with a low benchmark and ideally placed in a country stable.
He will be eligible for Country Only races in his first preparation for us carrying minimum prizemoney of $30,000, and we believe he is the type of horse that can ultimately make TAB Highway races or we could take to Queensland for class racing in Brisbane.
To be trained by leading New South Wales Country trainer Brett Cavanough at either his Scone or Ballina base. The horse will head straight to Brett at Scone where he'll have a short break before we commence training with him early March.
Shares for Mask Up start at $2000 for 5%. Costs include purchase price, GST, PDS, transport, vet certificate, registration, transfers, and all associated training and spelling costs until the end of April at which stage he will be almost ready to race.
Ongoing costs are fixed at $200 + GST each month for 5%, no extras except for unexpected vet call outs, surgeries, feature race nominations, or anything out of the ordinary etc.
