Patriot Bloodstock is thrilled to be expanding our business interstate with our first purchase for North Queensland, 3yo filly Mirror Illusion 6:1-0-0 $18,525 {Olympic Glory (IRE)}, from the dam Swanepoel, a half-sister to 4 x stakes-winner, Malibu Style 74:11-10-12 $1,024,185 {Magnus}, a million-dollar earner in prizemoney. Mirror Illusion is the first foal to race from the dam.

Mirror Illusion is lightly raced with just 6 starts, winning her most recent run at Quirindi, November 17, a $30,000 maiden. In this run, Mirror Illusion showed a terrific turn of speed late to break her maiden.

Her owners race many horses, regularly reducing their stock and we identified Mirror Illusion as the ideal horse to pick-up inexpensively, with so much upside ahead of her which could be better placed to continue her career in North Queensland.

Mirror Illusion will be very placed in the North Queensland region with a low benchmark of 52, and only having won 1 race she is eligible for low benchmark races, or class 1 races to start with, and with the scope to run up to a mile her opportunities really open up. 

The horse is completely sound, with no vices. Mirror Illusion is having a short spell and should be ready to race again by around March/April. 

To be trained by Trevor & Peter Rowe at Cairns. Since forming their training partnership in the last month the stable has produced 5 winners, including 3 winners at Cairns, November 24. 

The stable has had great success with tried horse from NSW, in particular recently with Investor 26:5-2-7 $122,735, and Smart Image 23:6-1-1 $219,350. 

Shares for Mirror Illusion start at $750 for 5%. Costs include purchase price, PDS, transport, vet certificate, registration, transfers, and all associated costs until the end of January. 

Ongoing costs are fixed at $180 + GST each month for 5%, no extras except for unexpected vet call outs, surgeries, feature race nominations, or anything out of the ordinary etc.
