Bader is a superbly bred 4yo gelding by Group 1 winning sprinter Flying Artie, and from Group 1 Oaks winning mare Dizelle, making him a half-brother to Group 1 winner Pinot. Bader form

A $55,000 purchase as a yearling, Bader was originally trained by the Ben & JD Hayes at Linsday Park, and lightly raced with just 5 starts his ownership group decided to move him on as they are only interested in racing city class horses.

Bader has run some decent races in Victoria on the provincial circuit. At the back end of his latest preparation, he ran 2 x 4^th at Ballarat over 2100m, both more than acceptable runs for a horse we’re moving to NSW in an easier jurisdiction where he can be better placed as a country staying horse.

Being a maiden horse, Bader is an ideal candidate for maiden/class 1 staying races in country NSW. There is a race for him at most meetings and with combined maiden/class 1 races on offer to him he will be easy to place for a quick return on your investment.  

To be trained by James Ponsonby at his private training facility at The Oaks, Western Sydney. James is a terrific conditioner of stayers and we’ve enjoyed good success with horses who profile similar.  

Bader will continue to remain in work with James and will be at the races for us within the next few weeks.

Shares start at $750.00 for 5%. Costs include purchase price, PDS, transport, vet certificate, registration, transfers, and all associated costs until the end of October. 

Ongoing costs are fixed at $200 + GST each month for 5%, no extras except for unexpected vet call outs, surgeries, feature race nominations, or anything out of the ordinary etc.
