A lovely, tried horse pick-up, 4yo mare, Fourcade, at an affordable price point for entry level ownership. Fourcade form

Fourcade is by Counterattack, a Group 1 performer up to a mile, from the mare Misasio, making her a half-sister to Commando Hunt, which finished 2^nd in the $400,000 Country Championship final earlier this season.

Her dam, Misasio has produced six other foals to race, all winners! Fourcade presents a great opportunity to buy in now before she has even broken her maiden, and the family get better with age and experience.

Fourcade has raced 5-times and has improved noticeably each time she has stepped out with her best two runs coming at her most recent starts. Recently she finished 3^rd at Taree, June 28 over 1257m, only beaten 1.1 length.

This race recorded a last 600m of 34.57 seconds, the fastest last 600m of the entire day. Rare for a maiden race and a terrific guide to finding future winners when sourcing tried horses. This race has also produced 3 subsequent maiden winners. 

Her latest run was at Gunnedah, July 12 over 1250m, where again she finished 3rd, a run that suggested she is knocking on the door for a win.

Following this run, Fourcade was offered for sale, her original owners only wish race city class horses and are making way for younger stock, which is great for us because we picked her up at a very reasonable price and ideal for entry level ownership. 

She is exactly the type of tried horse we love to buy, a lightly raced maiden horse with so much upside still ahead of her. We have had great success purchasing horses with similar form profiles. 

Fourcade was sent for a spell when offered for sale and we'll continue to give her a break and start from scratch with her next preparation. She will return to work September 1.

To be trained by Cameron Crockett at Scone. Cameron is ranked amongst the top country trainers in NSW and is confident that Fourcade is a winning proposition next preparation. 

Shares start at $700 for 5%. Costs include purchase price, PDS, transport, vet certificate, registration, transfers, and all training costs until the end of August. 

Ongoing costs are fixed at $200 + GST each month for 5%, no extras except for unexpected vet call outs, surgeries, feature race nominations, or anything out of the ordinary etc.
