Lord Kanaloa x Kali

Description

PDS PENDING!

We’re thrilled to offer 4yo mare, Kween Kanali by Japanese sprinting phenomenon, Lord Kanaloa (JPN), a 6-time Group 1 winner, from German bred mare Kali (GER), winner of the German 1000 Guineas, and Group 2 placed in France. Her half-brother, by Pariah sold for $140,000 earlier this year at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale. Kween Kanali form

A rare opportunity to buy into a superbly bred mare at the start of her career, and with terrific residual value as a breeding prospect post her racing career. She is worth more than what we paid for her as a broodmare alone.

Bred and raised by Arrowfield Stud in the Hunter Valley, and originally trained by Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young, Kween Kanali debuted with an impressive win at Pakenham 1400m, July 3.

July 3 - 1st at Pakenham. Dark blue with yellow spots, armbands, and quartered cap.

This race rated almost 7 lenghts better than the standard, with Kween Kanali recording the fastest last 200m of the race and 5th fastest of the entire meeting. These stats are a key piece of the puzzle when sourcing tried horses.

Kween Kanali was given one more run at Bendigo, July 14 when she was forced to chase a hot speed and finished midfield beaten only 4 lengths.

Following this run she was offered for sale as the ownership group believe she is better placed in an easier jurisdiction, which is great for us because she will race in the country.

Having only won one race, Kween Kanali can be placed to advantage in a set weights class 1 in the country to start off with, but with the scope to run beyond a mile the opportunities really open for her.

She is exactly the type of tried horse we love to buy, lightly raced with good, exposed form, and with only one win next to her name so much upside still ahead of her. We have had great success purchasing horses with similar form profiles.

To be trained by Mitch Beer at Albury who Patriot Bloodstock have enjoyed great success with over the last 12 months.

Mitch will give her a short break and start from scratch next time in. She will return to full traning September 15.

Shares start at $1100 for 5%. Costs include purchase price, PDS, transport, vet certificate, registration, transfers, and all training costs until the end of August.

Ongoing costs are fixed at $200 + GST each month for 5%, no extras except for unexpected vet call outs, surgeries, feature race nominations, overnight travel for race meetings, or anything out of the ordinary etc.

PDS still pending but to register your interest contact us at info@patriotbloodstock.com.au with how much percentage you would like to reserve, we'll disclose a full PDS when available and lock you in.
